Review policy

Pending legal review. It describes how reviews actually work on PTrend today.
Every review is posted
Every review is posted as soon as it’s written, whatever the rating. We never hide, hold back or reorder reviews because of their rating. Paid placement (Featured) changes where a PT appears in the directory; it never changes which reviews show or in what order.
Who can leave a review
A patient with a PTrend account and a confirmed email, about a verified PT who saw them. One review per patient per PT. PTs can’t review themselves or other PTs. Every review says how the reviewer connected with the PT: "Booked on PTrend" (they booked through PTrend), "Invited by their PT" (they came through the PT’s personal review link) or "Patient of this PT" (they confirmed they’re the PT’s patient).
What every reviewer confirms
Before posting, each reviewer confirms: "I was a patient of the PT. I’m not related to them, I don’t work with them, and I wasn’t offered anything for this review. This review is my own honest experience." They also say how they were seen (in clinic, telehealth or in home) and the month of their last visit. That statement is kept with the review.
What PTs may and may not do
A PT can share their personal review link and QR code with their patients. They should share it with every patient, not only the ones they expect to be happy, and they may not offer anything in return for a review, whether a discount, a gift or anything else. A PT can’t edit, hide or delete a review. If a PT thinks a review breaks this policy, they can flag it for us to look at. A flagged review stays up while we look.
When we remove a review
Only for one of these reasons: spam; a conflict of interest (for example, the reviewer is related to the PT, works with them, or was given something for the review); abuse (threats, hate or harassment); private information (someone’s health details, contact details or other personal information); or the reviewer was not really a patient of the PT. We never remove a review for being negative or for a low rating.
Anonymous reviews
A reviewer can post anonymously; the review then shows as "A PTrend patient". Otherwise it shows their first name and last initial. Either way we know which account wrote it, so this policy can be applied.
