Privacy

When you create an account: your email address, your name, your mobile number, and whether you are a patient or a therapist. Therapists also give a licence number and the state that issued it, so we can verify it. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and is stored hashed — nobody at PTrend can read it. We ask for your mobile number so PTrend can reach you about your account and bookings. It is never shown to therapists or other users. Giving us your number does not sign you up for text messages — see below.

Therapists can add a bio, specialties, rates, availability, a city, and a profile photo. Patients can add a profile photo. Anything you put in a booking request, a message, or a review is stored so it can be delivered and displayed.

A verified therapist’s profile is public: name, photo, bio, specialties, city, rating and reviews. Your exact street address is private unless you deliberately turn it on. Messages and booking requests are visible only to you and the therapist you sent them to. Reviews show a first name and last initial, or nothing at all if you post anonymously — never your full name or email. Profile photos are stored at public web addresses, so anyone with the link can open one; do not upload anything you would not put on a public profile.

We only text you if you choose to. Having your mobile number on your account is not agreement to receive texts: they are switched on separately, by ticking a box that is unticked by default, at signup or later in Phone & texts. If you do, we use your number for things about your care on PTrend: confirming your number, letting you know a therapist has replied, and — if you agree separately — asking how a visit went so you can leave a review. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. We do not send clinical information by text. You can stop at any time by replying STOP to any message, or with Turn off all texts in Phone & texts. Reply HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not affect your account, and your number stays on your account so we can still reach you about it. We do not sell or share your mobile number, and we do not share it with advertisers. Texts are sent through our messaging provider so they can be delivered. We keep a record of when you agreed and exactly what you agreed to.

PTrend runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no third-party tracking scripts. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers. The only data we hold is what you or your therapist entered into the app.

Our database, sign-in and file storage run on Supabase, and the website is served by Netlify. They process data on our behalf so the product can work. Email you receive from us, such as a password reset, is sent through our email provider.

PTrend does not process payment for sessions and never sees your card details. What you pay is arranged directly between you and your therapist.

A published review cannot be edited or deleted, by the reviewer or by the therapist. That is deliberate — it is what makes ratings here trustworthy — but it means you should be sure before you post. If you believe a review is false or abusive, contact us.

You can edit or remove most of what is on your profile at any time, including your photo. You can change your mobile number, or turn off all texts, in Phone & texts; a number is required while you have an account. If you want your account closed, or a copy of what we hold, email us and we will handle it. Closing your account deletes your mobile number and our record of your text-message consent. One exception: if you replied STOP, we keep that opt-out against the number itself, so it is never texted again. Note also the point above about reviews.

PTrend is intended for adults. It is not designed for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
